Jin Young to play an aspiring UFC fighter in crime action film 'Fighter'

Actor Jin Young, formerly of B1A4, will lead the upcoming youth crime action film 'Fighter' (literal title), his agency Management Run announced on November 3 (KST).

Jin Young is heading back to the big screen with an action role. His agency Management Run said on November 3 (KST) that he will star as Hye Sung in 'Fighter', adding that viewers can look forward to "a more intense side" of the actor that he has not shown before, in Soompi's translation of the statement.

In the film, Hye Sung works to pay his younger sibling's hospital bills and his debts while training relentlessly toward the UFC. He and his friend and self-styled manager Won Do (Kim Min Ho) take on a dangerous job and become entangled in a case over a cold wallet containing about 60 billion won (roughly $45 million) in cryptocurrency, while Tae Oh (Cha Woo Jin) becomes his worst enemy. Lee Seol plays Ji Na, a nurse at the hospital where his sibling is treated.

'Fighter' is produced by Big Punch Pictures and Contents G and co-produced by Company Black. Filming began on October 28, and the film is targeting a 2027 release.
